Booker T. Washington National Monument

The Booker T. Washington National Monument preserves portions of the 207-acre tobacco farm on which educator and leader Booker T. Washington was born into slavery on April 5, 1856.
Sheep, pigs, horses and chickens help provide the mood to explore this recreated 1850’s tobacco farm. Come learn about the historic breeds of animals that would have been here during Washington’s time.

National D-Day Memorial
